Hello, happy to be here! My name is Elizabeth and I’m actually a VSA at the Anchorage Museum.
I’m currently studying Anthropology at UAA but I have always had a keen interest in using my degree in the realm of Museums and Archiving. I do have a job at the Anchorage Museum currently as a Visitors Service Assistant, a front of house position where I count in guests, run ticket sales/memberships, as well as work in their store handling sales of Alaska related trinkets, Alaska Indigenous artwork, and everything in between. My ultimate goal in life though is to be someone who works for a museum in collections and or archiving. I’m originally a Southeast Alaska kid whose now on their third year of living in Anchorage. I am also the University of Alaska Anchorage’s Anthropology Club’s president. I’m just excited to learn more about museums and how they work as well as happy to work with/meet everyone here~!
