Hello! My name is Kai and I use they/them pronouns. I was born and raised in Fairbanks. Growing up, I loved museums; getting lost in the art or animals, wandering around with no constraint and learning about different cultures was my favorite thing. I now work in the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center and I want to know more about museums in general. I am working on my AA right now, but who knows what the future will hold! I look forward to this class with everyone.

Hi Kai. I too enjoy getting lost in museums and the cultures they show. I almost always leave with more questions than I went in with.
Welcome Kai! I’m really glad to have you join our class and congratulations on your job at the Morris Thompson Center. You have a wonderful opportunity to consider how a multi-purpose facility like that has aspects that are just like museums, but at the same time, offer other exciting opportunities to engage with the community in new ways! I look forward to hearing your thoughts about how the MTCVC is like a museum but different! (Spoiler – I just had a similar conversation with Tania and Adia yesterday!)
